Dragi prijatelji Festivala Fališ, dvaput je dvaput, to svi znamo…. 

Dakle, nakon što smo se 2017. upustili u crowdfunding kampanju (okončana s uplaćenih oko 78.000 kuna), evo nas opet - kako i naš slogan kaže: na istom mjestu u još jednoj borbi! 

Naime, nepuna dva mjeseca prije početka Festivala alternative i ljevice u Šibeniku od kojega ne odustajemo, potrebna nam je Vaša pomoć. 

FALIŠ je politički profiliran i jasno, imenom, ideološki određen festival. Traje od prve srijede do subote, u rujnu. Svi programi su besplatni i potiču komunikaciju s publikom na javnim prostorima grada Šibenika. Sve programe snimamo i objavljujemo na Youtube kanalu festivala kako bi i oni koji ne mogu doći u Šibenik poslušali i vidjeli programe. FALIŠ je mjesto na kojem se smatra da je antifašizam pitanje kućnog odgoja.

Cijeli festival održava se i preživljava na volonterstvu i entuzijazmu, a u organizaciju festivala uvijek se uključuju i mladi, studenti/ce i drugi prijatelji/ce festivala koji ga čine bogatijim poduhvatom šireg kolektiva.

Kako je izostanak suvislije financijske podrške opće mjesto realiteta hrvatskog civilnog sektora, a kako bismo ipak organizirali festival koji ima određenu kvalitetu, ali koji cijeni i poštuje rad onih koje poziva da budu nositelji/ce programa, odlučili smo se ovog puta obratiti i zajednici. Jedini način da FALIŠ nastavi postojati je da zamoli donacije prijatelja, istomišljenika i svih koji vjeruju da alternativa predatorskom kapitalizmu postoji te da je bolji svijet ipak moguć, ma koliko mu se protivio establishment podržan krupnim kapitalom.

Stoga vas molimo, ukoliko imate želju, volju i isključivo ukoliko ste u mogućnosti da podržite ovaj festival donacijom. Iznos je nebitan, odnosno, proizvoljan. Mi smo za svaku malenu donaciju itekako zahvalni jer doprinosite održavanju našeg  pla(e)mena. 

 

Ovo je ujedno i prilika da najavimo novo, 12. izdanje festivala FALIŠ koji će se održati u Šibeniku u periodu od 4.-7.9.2024. godine.

Detaljan program festivala objavljivat ćemo u narednim danima, a za početak, prenosimo vam misli programskog urednika festivala, Branka Sekulića. 

RAVNO DO DNA: SLOM CIVILIZACIJE I ŠTO SA NJENIM OSTACIMA

Kada je nemirima na Trgu nebeskog mira, a potom i padom Berlinskog zida najavljeno ono što će se doskora, kroz raspad Sovjetskog Saveza, doživjeti kao potpuno urušavanje Istočnog bloka, mnoge su tzv. države zapadnog svijeta, prema Fukuyaminom receptu, proglasile pobjedu demokratskih i liberalnih vrijednosti nad svojim komunističkim i totalitarnim neprijateljem. Povijest se smatrala dokončanom, a nadolazeće vrijeme post-povijesti, trebalo je poslužiti kao konačna realizacija dotad zatomljenih sociopolitičkih potencijala ljudskog roda.

U tom duhu se i sam rat u Jugoslaviji, u mnogim međunarodnim političkim, društvenim, kulturnim i inim krugovima, držao završnim činom jednog dokončanog i premošćenog civilizacijskog perioda, obilježenog, između ostalog, etničkim i religijskim sukobljavanjima, nakon kojeg slijedi razdoblje produktivnog društvenog dijaloga, te ekumenskih nastojanja. Ili je barem tako trebalo biti. Međutim, onda je počelo – Afganistan, Libanon, Palestina, Izrael, sjeverna Irska, Armenija, Azerbajdžan, Čečenija, Kašmir, Šri Lanka, Ruanda, Tibet, istočni Timor, Sirija, Libija, Irak, Ukrajina… Rasplamsao se čitav niz konflikata, koji su iz temelja mijenjali poimanje post-povijesnog vremena, jasno sugerirajući kako jugoslavenski slučaj nije bio konac, već uvertira u taj neki „novi poredak vjekova“.

Danas kretanje tog poretka, vidimo kroz brojne sukobe koji se vode na sličnim osnovama, povezani sa brojnim kulturološkim, klasnim, identitetskim i drugim različitim aspektima, no ovog puta ne prijeteći opstankom samo pojedinim lokalnim sredinama, već svijetu kao takvom. Ono, naime, što se isprva činilo vedrim nebesima post-povijesti, ukazalo se njenim mračnim dnom, dok brzina kojom ova civilizacija na njega nastoji aterirati, dostiže svoju kritičnu razinu. Kako i na koji način pokušati kreirati alternativu ovom sunovratu, saznajte na ovogodišnjem FALIŠ-u.

Dear friends of the Fališ Festival, twice is twice, we all know that… So, after embarking on a crowdfunding campaign in 2017 (which concluded with approximately 78,000 kuna raised), here we are again - as our slogan says: in the same place, in another battle! Namely, less than two months before the start of the Alternative and Left Festival in Šibenik, which we are committed to, we need your help. 

FALIŠ is politically profiled and clearly ideologically defined by its name. It takes place from the first Wednesday to Saturday in September. All programs are free and encourage communication with the audience in public spaces in the city of Šibenik. We record all programs and publish them on the festival’s YouTube channel so that those who cannot come to Šibenik can listen to and watch the programs. 

FALIŠ is a place where antifascism is considered a matter of upbringing. 

The entire festival is organized and sustained through volunteering and enthusiasm, and young people, students, and other friends of the festival always participate in organizing it, enriching it as a collective endeavor. Given the lack of substantial financial support, which is a common reality in the Croatian civil sector, and in order to organize a festival that maintains a certain quality while respecting the work of those invited to be program contributors, we have decided to turn to the community this time. The only way for FALIŠ to continue existing is to ask for donations from friends, like-minded individuals, and anyone who believes that an alternative to predatory capitalism exists and that a better world is possible, despite opposition from the establishment supported by big capital. 

Therefore, we kindly ask you, if you have the desire and ability, to support this festival with a donation. The amount is not important; it can be arbitrary. We are extremely grateful for every small donation, as it contributes to sustaining our small flame. 

This is also an opportunity to announce the new 12th edition of the FALIŠ festival, which will take place in Šibenik from September 4th to 7th. We will publish the detailed festival program in the coming days.

To start, we share the thoughts of the festival’s program editor, Branko Sekulić. 

STRAIGHT TO THE BOTTOM: THE COLLAPSE OF CIVILIZATION AND WHAT WITH ITS REMAINS 

When the unrest on the Square of Heavenly Peace, followed by the fall of the Berlin Wall, heralded what would soon be experienced as the complete collapse of the Eastern Bloc through the disintegration of the Soviet Union, many so-called Western states, following Fukuyama’s recipe, declared victory of democratic and liberal values over their communist and totalitarian adversary. History was considered complete, and the upcoming era of post-history was supposed to serve as the final realization of previously suppressed sociopolitical potentials of humanity.

 In that spirit, the war in Yugoslavia was seen in many international political, social, cultural, and other circles as the final act of a completed and bridged civilization period, marked, among other things, by ethnic and religious conflicts, followed by a period of productive social dialogue and ecumenical efforts. Or at least that’s how it was supposed to be. However, then it began – Afghanistan, Lebanon, Palestine, Israel, Northern Ireland, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Chechnya, Kashmir, Sri Lanka, Rwanda, Tibet, East Timor, Syria, Libya, Iraq, Ukraine... A whole array of conflicts flared up, fundamentally altering the perception of post-historical time, clearly suggesting that the Yugoslav case was not the end but rather a prelude to some “new order of centuries.” 

Today, the movement of this order is evident in numerous conflicts based on similar grounds, connected to various cultural, class, identity, and other different aspects. However, this time, they threaten not only the survival of individual local communities but the world as a whole.  What initially seemed like bright skies of post-history revealed its dark depths, as the speed with which this civilization attempts to land on that bottom reaches critical levels.
